Flânerie
In previous project, I explored how art and design can serve as powerful tools for mental health recovery, drawing from personal experience and community engagement through therapeutic art lessons and conversations with art therapists. This naturally led to my final major project, where I turned to design as a personal refuge during a difficult time, using it as a visual diary and a means of reflection and healing. Inspired by the concept of the flâneur, a person who finds inspiration through navigating the city streets and long meandering walks.
I took to the streets of London, walking with a pen, paper, and camera, capturing thoughts and images that informed my creative process. The result is a book that offers a unique, creative perspective on the city, accompanied by a pocket guide for on-the-go use and an interactive zine filled with structured activities. Together, these resources encourage individuals to explore their surroundings mindfully and creatively, promoting accessibility and self-expression for all.
